It replaces the factory trim pieces flanking the tank and dash area — a highly visible section that sits at eye level when the bike is on the stand — and mounts to the OEM attachment points.
Gen 3 (2022+) GSX1300RR
Three pieces cover the third-generation Hayabusa's side profile:
- Carbon Fiber Tank Cover, Twill — spans the tank top and upper side surfaces, replacing the painted cover with a full 2x2 twill weave.
- Carbon Fiber Radiator V-Panel, Twill — sits at the front of the side profile ahead of the radiator, a location exposed to heat and road debris where carbon's rigidity holds up better than painted ABS.

Side panels are thin, contoured parts with tight mounting-tab tolerances, which is exactly where manufacturing process shows. Bestem panels use 100% pre-preg Toray carbon fiber — fabric with resin pre-impregnated at a controlled ratio — cured under heat and pressure in an autoclave inside matched-metal tooling. The result is a dense, void-free laminate with consistent wall thickness and mounting points that line up with the factory tabs.
Hand-laid, wet-lay panels are the opposite: resin content varies, the laminate runs heavier, and tabs often need rework to fit.
